Chasing a Pension Pot

They have my money but will not help me find my old pension pot. I have sent them two letters with forms downloaded from their website with ALL the information they need to trace my pension. I have phoned them – they did try to help over the phone but eventually told me to send my documentation by email – which I did. They then claimed that my documentation wasn’t attached to the email – it so was, and I can prove it…. Ack. They are sending me round in circles, despite encouraging people to trace their old pensions, THEY ARE NOT BEING HELPFUL!!!! I have been trying to get information from them since January. I don’t know why I am surprised by their incompetence, as a page has been set up on Facebook to complain about them. I am so frustrated.

I have now decided to make my pension tracing efforts into a calligraphy project. My first envelope to them was addressed in block capitals in Bic Biro. This is my second envelope…

It is a little more fancy, but nothing over the top. I intend to add more decoration and flourishing as the months go by, and then maybe, just maybe, I might get a reply – even if it’s just a cease and desist notice.

Trying to Flourish….

I was tired of staring into space, my hands were restless and needed something to do. They were also far too clean – where were the ink stains and tacky bits of glue? And so, I picked up my nibs and tried to write again….

Calligraphy Addressed

It is nearly February and I have not posted here since October. A lot has happened. I moved just before Christmas in between rain storms and general wet malarkey. I totally ignored Christmas, which means I didn’t send out any Christmas cards whatsoever. I was a real scrooge…. well, quite frankly, it is difficult to move and ‘do’ Christmas. Moving is very expensive and I had to cut costs somewhere. But, if I had sent out Christmas cards they may have been addressed a bit like this:-

I did miss addressing my Christmas envelopes.

When I arrived here at my new home I unpacked all my calligraphy pens, inks and paints and started working on a Herbert Reid poem called Night Ride… my first attempts can be seen on my Flickr account (see side bar) And here is my second attempt…

I suppose I should have written out my change of address cards… but this was more fun! I can do my change of address cards next week…or the week after… hopefully I am going to be here for some time.
