It’s a Wrap!!!

I did it!!!! Jon will be back either today or tomorrow and we can all go back to normal. Phew!

I was going to use this post to waffle on about my new AI assistant, ChArmaIne2, but I think this is best saved for next week, by which time she will have turned my Bottled posts into a 850,000 word novel – yes, she is that quick!!

I think this exercise in daily blogging has actually been good for my mental health as it’s prevented me from dwelling on my usual worries – worries that I can do little about. I also like the natural flow that comes with writing back to back posts – so maybe I will take up cluster blogging, who knows. I don’t really want to fall back into my one post every 2 months routine!

Anyhow, thank you for your patience!!

I will leave you now with 67 words of calligraphy, all spelt correctly and in the right order, and a view of me running across the fields to my house for a well earned rest….

copperplate calligraphy

Oops…I am just out of shot.

Next Week: ChArmaIne2 writes 5 novels and a TV series; A Scottish Widows Update; and, Which Wellies are Best? – an in-depth report on rubber footwear.

Umm…ewhere to begin? I suppose the best place would be right here, apologising for the gaff in the first line. Put it down to my urgency in wiping blood off the keyboard.

Well, that’s got you all agog, hasn’t it? But this is Scarlet’s blog. Even Jon doesn’t have a shoe-horn in here.

So …you’ll just have to po[p over to mine. (More blood!)

Oh my goodness, Dinah, what have you done? ChArmaIne2 is useless with the TCP and bandages, so I will head over to yours and find out what’s going on.

      Do you need an ambulance?

I’ve missed so much! I’m having difficulties leaving messages on WordPress blogs. I must return for the upcoming rubber footwear report!

Lovely to see you Ms Mistress!
The WordPress comment box has been ‘upgraded’, hence the difficulties. Apologies.
Ah, the rubber footwear report! Oh yes, not to be missed!!

The “Gerste” is already high, and it is nice to notice that you have kept them hedges, many were erased here – only to be re-build since a few years.

I am sure that all words are spelled correct, are in the right order, but is the “Worttrennung” / hyphenation correct ?

Now, for all that blood …

Mr Mags – Our hedge banks are enormous now that Spring has sprung!

The hyphenation is correct because it is done for spacing issues only – so let’s not worry about that. Seriously – NOT AN ERROR!!!!

Yep, Dinah is making a mess…

I look forward to the 850 novel, and the film. She just might create all your blog post for next year too. And your work as usual is beautiful, if not a colorful and graphic vision. To twaddle away in a hemp field, well, sans the nightie for me, people might think I’m crazy then, would be heavenly.

I do think blogging daily does help mentally, no matter how simple a thought or passage.

Mistress Maddie – Between me and thee, I find ChArmaIne2 a little bit over confident, and excitable. Hopefully she will simmer down and at least help out with a few lists and title suggestions.

I agree – daily blogging does help to focus my mind away from things I shouldn’t be focussing on. The discipline has been surprisingly beneficial.

I hope we get some hemp fields this year – they’re so pretty!

    Yes you did and congratulations!

I like to see barley billowing in the summer breeze, what we got last year was a sprout field, big ugly stalks of sprouts sticking out of the ground like something primeval. It must be a northern thing.

      Thank you, Mitzi!
We have the ugly fields too. I think some crops are deliberately grown to fertilise the soil, and add nutrients. We had a corn that looked like something from an American horror film – it was so tall, and that was left to rot. I point my lens in the opposite direction and focus on the pretty.

HUZZAH!! You did it and ended with a delightful post and a gorgeous photo! You are truly an inspiration, sweetpea! I must reconsider my current laxity with regard to my own blog! xoxo

Savvy – Thank you! Throw yourself at it and be determined – have a few Youtubes ready and you can do it!
Plus, I think everyone needs a rest from me so I’ll pass on the 10 day baton!

Savvy – All the very best of luck to you!!! For the last few years I’ve been such a flopster, and doing this has given me a little boost – I feel a sense of achievement because my creativity now has a bit of crackle and spark to it.
Good luck, Savvy, and I’ll be there to cheer you on!

Hooray!!! You did it! Jon’s going to be gobsmacked!

You know, I’m kind of glad it’s over – not because it was a dreadful experience (it’s been joyful, illuminating, and life changing!), but because I’ve had to engage my brain rather more than normal in order to comment every day! I can’t imagine what constructing a post every day has been like.

I hope you’ve got ChArmaIne2 safely tucked away in the attic on a non-networked computer?

P.S. I thought you pranced around in a field wearing the Freakin’ Green Elf Shorts, not a nightie?

Mr Devine – I think it’s been tiring for everyone! The most time I spent on a post was actually the edit of Lucky You! It took forever, and a lot of deleting. The phone blogs were the most fun. I had to hold myself back from writing more about pensions and retirement, so that’s in my drafts file still. It’s been a lark!
ChArmaIne2 is wrapped in tin foil and locked in a cupboard, which I think is the correct storage for such a weapon… I mean tool. She has a lot to say next week!
I have worn both items of clothing in a field! Neither are recommended.

A skookum endeavor, Ms Scarlet! Good on you for persisting so many days in a row. I’m trying to do something similar with my time on the treadmill. A little each day, don’t overthink it, don’t find excuses, just do!

I’ve enjoyed these. I hope you find a balance between too few and too many postings.

‘skookum’ means monstrous, as it was perceived that it might be a big and ugly task though it turned out to be more like a sprite and less like a demon.

Melanie – Thank you for ‘skookum’ – I will add it to my personal dictionary and see if I can use it today!

And thank you for dropping by and supporting me through my mission!! I really do hope this helps me to find a blogging balance. Knowing that I can churn out a string of posts has boosted my confidence.

You’re right about not overthinking things – and I must remember that.

Prancing around in a field?! Ermm….. you didn’t, by any chance, bump into Theresa May there? IIRC, she had a daring adventure in a field of wheat, or some such.

Mr Lycus – Hahaha!!! Crikey, I’d forgotten about the mischievous antics of Madam May!!! You never know who you might meet in a field of wheat. Boris Johnson makes a very good scarecrow.

    Dedication, dedication
    Dedication, that’s what you need
If you wanna be the best
If you wanna beat the rest
    Oh-oh dedication’s what you need;
If you wanna be a record break-er, Oooooh!

Roy Castle’s proud of you, Ms Scarlet…

    ...and so am I!!!!!!!!!!

I have spent all day just reading your sterling efforts, and glad that you feel it was worth it. The “blogging bug” is too good to lose, and that’s why I do it every day. It’s my equivalent of a “mental workout” [that isn’t work!].

    Thank you.

    Jx

PS Now I need to go back and catch up on everyone else’s – and start my own post-holiday comeback post [that won’t be till be tomorrow, that’s for sure]…

PPS I could have sworn I spotted you wafting in that photo, but it must have been some hedge parsley.

Jon – Thank you! It was a pleasure – I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, so It was definitely worth doing. I found that having some kind of plan the night before helped. I really liked the chatter about old phones and phone boxes!
Yep, that was me hiding in the cow parsley!

Looking forward to reading about your holiday, and I’m pleased you’re back!!

I couldn’t possibly blog every day, too much like hard work. I need a few days in between to maximise my investments, oops to refresh my brain. I suppose chanting repetitively for 6 hours and 43 minutes is one way of communicating with the Sacred Spirit of the Universe, but there must be easier ways.

Nick – You found me again!!!

Well I confess I have missed blogging daily! It was quickly becoming a morning habit. And, I had gathered momentum with it – so I don’t really know where I go from here – you might be seeing more of me!
