A Write Panic!

Good Afternoon!

Apologies, I have been so engrossed with the ongoing saga on our new blog A Write Panic that I have forgotten to update this blog.

So far A Write Panic has featured amongst many things: robots; a brewer’s goitre; a pink rabbit onesie; a Jason Bourne character; a golden retriever called Scarlet with dubious glands; a short man with a large gun; chairs; Ferrero Rocher; nose picking; and a brassy blonde. If you signed up to write then please do – the more the merrier!! If you don’t feel like writing, then music and picture posts to illustrate the story are also very welcome.

How am I? Up and down. I guess we all are. Some days I am overwhelmed by graphs, and figures, and projections of what might be. Other days I can distract myself.

Take care, stay home.

A tune…..

Phew, that’s quite a complicated story. I think I would get lost pretty quickly. I sort of assumed that Wonky Words would continue in parallel with the story, but no! I’m curious to know the latest news on Charmaine, whether you managed to stop talking about trampolines, whether you managed to separate the sheep from the superglue, whether you’ve written your will (all the rage, I hear), and whether you still have the swanky teal dress from Rhyll. So many unanswered questions….

Nick – It is indeed a complicated story!
Yes, I too thought Wonky Words would continue in parallel. I’ve been sitting waiting for a post, and then I remembered that it’s only me who writes here! Silly me! Usual service will resume shortly.

I’m loving “A Write Panic” – it’s given me something to do while I hum and hah about what to do on my own blog. It is the perfect distraction for our times – Thank you for setting it up, Ms Scarlet!

P.S. You and Nick have given me an idea for my own blog…

Good Morning, Mr Devine – I am having issues logging into WordPress. Good grief. I am having a wave of nausea about Coronavirus. Today I will sit down and write some notes about our yarn, and I will tear myself away from the hideous graphs and write something!

Please accept my profoundest apologies for not writing anything on A Write Panic, I’ve barely even read much of it, I don’t know where my head is. I seem to have become Editor in Chief of a new blog for our community council and am inundated with stories about meals on wheels and PPE on an almost hourly basis. Once things calm down, or I find a way of ignoring my emails without feeling guilty, I’ll be right over to join in. X

    *More or less unrelated, sorry*
I found this : “Nice, tasteful, simple black ink. Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hi-Carb Black Ink to be specific.” Do you know this ink ? And if so, is it good ?

Well, I do like Dr Martin’s ink, it is usually very good. I haven’t tried this one specifically, but I will! Thank you for the heads up, Mr Mags.

Good evening, Lulu! Yes, I launched a sort of writing blog, but I think outside events may be overshadowing it! Damn it. I have been an appalling host, but it has been fun.
Take care, Lulu, and please stay safe.

I’m going to have to nip over to the other blog, which appears to be the ongoing adventures of the late Geoffrey Ripon.

    Keep safe.

Just thought I’d say hello. Are you enjoying the lock-down or hating it? Apparently quite a lot of people are enjoying it, especially old people with plenty of cash and nothing much to worry about. Personally I’m enjoying the peace and quiet, the spring flowers, the lack of chancers asking me if I want my front yard re-asphalted or my guttering cleaned, and Captain Tom’s extraordinary NHS fundraising. But I do miss my weekly latte and apricot croissant at Caffè Nero.
