A Big Pink Thing

Now should I cause a sideboard invasion for Mr Devine’s birthday??? I know Mitzi would appreciate a big pink thing on her sideboard, but no, I think I shall keep this big pink birthday greeting on my own blog.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr Devine!!!!

I have been taking photos in readiness for the garden COMPETITION in October/November, just so you know!

Kylie – Haha! Not a euphemism, it’s an accidental term for a blog roll, or sidebar. I think it was Mr Devine who coined the phrase many years ago now. WordPress has the capacity to decimate a type of Blogger sidebar - but I have reigned in this superpower today!

Jon – The birthday boy seems to have gone to ground since all the excitement at the weekend – I hope he’s having a good day – with something pink!

I wonder how links work in this new comment box…

We have to click on the link symbol and enter the address in there – it doesn’t like us doing our own coding any more.

My sideboard won something or the other, the prize of which was a charming doodad by your very bad self. Tragically, I have still not been able to wrestle Blogger into allowing me to put it up on my blog, but I will persevere.

Mr Peenee – If this WordPress blog goes kaput then I wouldn’t have a clue how to use the new block system to put it right. It’s a bit of a worry. Behind the scenes is a right mess that doesn’t make any sense. I’m not sure that I could add anything to my sideboard either!

And what a truly splendid Big Pink Thing it is, too! Thank you, Ms Scarlet, for both it and your restraint in Sideboard-related embiggening x

P.S. May I remind you – and everyone else – that The Infomaniac Garden Photos Event is NOT A COMPETITION!!!

Yes I would love something pink on my sideboard or something pinkish!

Slightly off topic, I’m reading a novel by none other than Yvette Fielding Called The Witches of Pendle, The Ghost Hunter Chronicles for young adults, £3 from The Works, about a boy who finds a Witch’s bottle and everything starts to kick off, I remember you had one of those on your sideboard, I wonder if Yvette found inspiration from it, I’m on chapter 3, if I find any more similarities, I’ll let you know.

It’s beautiful! I’m so glad you posted it here as a revival, of sorts. I worry about ya’ll when I don’t hear even the slightest peep after so many months. We’ve been together, internet related, for too dang long to let any of the bloggerati crew quietly fade off into the sunset!

I’m trying to comment again. I left a comment on this post and the previous one. They didn’t make it through.

Nice pink (dark pink?) flowers. Catch a pollinator in the scene to make even more interesting.

I also posted a few days ago but looks like I’ve failed to understand the ever-confusing WP commenting system… but it was just to congratulate you on your fully open leaves, and to wish Mr D (and yourself, rather belatedly), very happy birthdays. Two weeks ago I moved into the next section below in those 10-year groups of birth years that you have to fill in on surveys and so on… so happy birthday to us three!
