One Four All

I will have a go at Mr Devine’s smashing idea of posting 4 pictures in the hope that it will prompt me to post more often. Unfortunately, I have a hissy fit when trying to post pictures on Blogger, so WordPress it is. Apologies for that.

A collage!! I made a collage!!

This is not THE big pink bush, but a different pink bush that flowers earlier in the year.

Barney has grown! He still has aspirations of becoming a Great Dane.

AND, another collage!!!

Blimey, this almost makes it look like I’ve been busy.

Mistress B – An Azalea!!! Thank you!!! I had no idea what it was!
There is another pic of Barney under this post. He is supposed to be a Collie-Huntaway cross. The Huntaway originates in New Zealand, so Dinah might be more familiar with the breed. I thought he would stop at Border Collie size, but he just continued to grow. Hopefully he has stopped now and won’t turn into a Great Dane! He was a rescue pup, so you can never be too sure of what you’re getting!!

And it’s funny that you find WordPress easier, I can recall when I almost moved to WordPress I had a Blog all set ready to go just in case blogger became a pain in the ass with their damn rules and changes and tinkering. But I found the dashboard of WordPress extremely hard to get around, plus trying to adjust the blog the way I wanted it to look with my infamous big headers and colors ,fonts, it was all too much and deleted the whole damn thing.

Mistress B – I guess it’s what you’re used to. I’ve spent far too long on WordPress. I promise that I will continue to try with Blogger, but with my calligraphy pictures, WordPress is clearer – they go fuzzy on Blogger – which frustrates me hugely.

Hahahaha – love the two press clippings!

If that’s only the “Spring pink bush”, what must the “summer pink bush” be like?! We should be told…

Barney’s already probably taller than you are, Ms Scarlet 🤣. Jx

Barney is bigger than expected, Jon!!
Press clippings curtesy of Private Eye! I think it’s a shame that the clips are hidden away in books, they need to be seen and read often so I will make more Private Eye collages – they really make me laugh too!
I think the Summer pink bush is an Azalea as well but I don’t understand why they don’t bloom at the same time?

Most Azaleas are Spring-flowering (March to May), but like numerous plant species, there are varieties that are earlier- and later-flowering… Jx

      Thank you, Jon!

The first flowering Azalea – the one in the picture – doesn’t flower for as long as the second, and the colour isn’t quite as solid, but good and pink all the same!

Her appearance is rumpled. what a lovely description. 512 years old ! Catholicism obviously has it’s benefits.

Fab 4 Photos, perhaps we all should give it a go.

    Madam Arcati.

Madam A – I liked the detail that she was late for appointments. Private Eye is a wonderful resource.

Yes, please have a go with the photos! And it’s lovely to see you here!

The 512 year old Mrs Williams caught my attention, too. Was this article written in the 2430s? Or did Mrs Williams fall backwards in time by about 500 years sometime in her early life, I wonder?

Mr D – It’s a mystery! But, oh to have a reputation for being dishevelled and late – sounds like she was having fun whatever her age!

Dinah has sent me her comment via Email, as she is struggling with WordPress. She says: Huntaways are tall, strong and bloody loud dogs! Apparently ideal for the huge sheep runs in NZ’s South Island. Barney could well be cross-bred. He’s a handsome chap, whatever the pedigree!

And she is correct – Barney does have a big booming bark! Thankfully he seems to be learning how to be lazy.

I bet Barney is a fantastic lolloper! Does he look where he’s going, or do you get bashed into quite a lot?

Thank you for offsetting the “loathsome” Toby Jessel with beautiful and vibrant Spring Pink Bushery.

Mr D – Barney is a basher! Between you and me I am not taking to him. This sounds dreadful, doesn’t it? It’s never happened to me before. I am trying really hard, and he is a lovely dog, but I’m just not feeling it. Too soon after Sid, maybe? Hopefully I will sort myself out.
Meanwhile I can cheer myself up with Private Eye clips, and my big pink bush!

I also noticed the 512 year old Mrs Williams. What’s the secret of her astonishing longevity? Yes, I bet Barney is a great lolloper. I hope you take to him very soon. And as for Toby Jessel, it seems routine these days for politicians to be loathsome.

Nick – Barney is indeed a lolloper! He’s a bit iffy around livestock, which is a bit of a problem, but we’re working on it.
Ha, yes, but Jessel looks more loathsome than necessary!

First Nations! How’s it all going up in your patch? (I’m back in NZ and still getting confused over the time, the funny money…apparently, this happens when we get older!!)
