News [Part 1 of 52 and featuring Sunday Music]

A

ck. My back is playing up now, and my knee, which seems to go hand in hand with ramped up tinnitus.

On the bright side I have discovered a word that instantly makes Sid return to my side. Yes, a bit of a surprise that any word would make him race back to me, but this seems to be the key, ANY word other than the designated word, such as ‘here’ or ‘Sid’, seems to work. Today I shouted the word ‘Pillock’ across the lawn and he came flying towards me. He is also reacts positively to Taj Mahal.

Yes, I did get hailed upon yesterday, but not badly.

And I did find Grayson Perry on my Sounds app. I shall listen to it in due course.

I’m not sure I would find anything to like about Donald Trump – although I am fascinated by the white circles around his eyes. He is so peculiar looking – all the things I could ask him, but I know, if I was granted one question, it would be about his orange face and the white circles around his eyes. I am that shallow.

To be fair, non binary is probably good for children/teenagers isn’t it? Have I got that right? It’d mean they were all treated the same and given the same opportunities, and they wouldn’t be pressured to go along with traditional gender roles – and then they could make their own minds up what they felt most comfortable with as they got older.

Anyhow, I shall now go and try new words on Sid; he’s bound to respond to the most obscure and embarrassing ones.

Do you think this email would make a good blog post?! Just think, I could create a new series based on my emails!! Or would this be cheating?

Sunday music…

Mr Batarde – Ha, Ha Ha!!!!! Are you calling my fabulous new post a urinal?!! I think not, you are instead referring to the ready-made aspect. It is a lot easier than thinking on the spot.

Mr Bean drove around in a Mini, Bill! The same car that featured in The Italian Job. You can still get a Mini, and these days they are very smartphone. I need something akin to a tank so that I can square up to the tractors!

Yes the mini. I got the cars mixed up. I was thinking of the car that antagonized Mr. Bean. It was a three wheeled car that Mr. Bean could push over.

Nice song with a good message.
I could go on and on about our President Chaos with the orange glow. I believe the Republican party missed its chance with the impeachment to rebuild their party around a stable knowledgeable person. That’s enough thoughts on him. Oh ok, one more – the orange face with white circles certainly is caused by sun lamp baking.
Your word experiment with Sid is interesting. While Sid might just find certain sounds reminds him of dinner, we humans will associate all types of meaning with it.

All words relate to food in Sid’s mind! He’s a funny wee dog though and good company.
I will leave Mr Orange to you, Bill. Hopefully you’ll be rid of him soon.
Yes, this is one of my all time favourite tunes 🙂

I like to use command words that other people are unlikely to use. I mean, you are walking contendedly in the park and someone calls “here boy!here boy!” and 25 dogs go hurtling in that direction. So I favour a command word in a different language.Of course, depending on the word(s) you choose you might be arrested!

Dinah – I can’t even get one dog to come here; 25 hurtling in my direction would be a miracle!
I like ‘pillock’, so far it is still getting Sid’s attention, he seems bored with Taj Mahal now, which is a shame.

I’m all for non binary. The rigid division between what’s “appropriate” for males and “appropriate” for females is such a straitjacket.

What fascinates me about Donald Trump is the peculiar comb-over hairstyle and the permanently belligerent expression. Hopefully he’ll decide that golf is much more enjoyable than fighting those awful Democrats and retire gracefully from politics.

I know, Nick! If I had a ton of money I would want to do something more fun than having the headache of being a President. He has an expression that invites the liberal use of a wet kipper.

I always think we have a disturbingly large amount of things in common to which I will now add tinnitus and a grumbling back which has, in my case and with invitation, offered to become a lifelong friend. Don’t get me started on Trump or the press being excluded from Downing Street statements or anything to do with the lack of a good sandwich when you really need one. Having said that, your posts always tend to cheer me up so thank you for that 🙂 xxx

Mr Ducks – I think you have covered everything that is bothering me at the moment! I found the press exclusion most worrying.
As for the back, I am now wearing a sturdy bra, which seems to be helping. in your case may I suggest some sort of elasticated back support from Amazon. This is what we all need – supportive foundation garments.
I very pleased that I cheered you up!!

Love the music. Interested that you have a shop. Nursing and modelling were experiences but my shop was my passion. How lovely to have a dog. I really loved the two I had but am now too old and couldn’t cope with another responsibility. Still there are lots in Minehead to drool over.

Pleased you loved the music, Pat! It’s only an online shop, Pat, and at present it is closed due to lack of interest – I wish I could develop a passion for it!
I’m not sure that I cope with my dog – he may be responsible for my back problems!

My maid of all work Carmen is slightly deaf and answers to anything, I’ve been calling her Navet all week and she replies with a confused eh? I can’t work out the architecture of Donald Trumps hairdo at all.
