I
have been sent an island!!! I know!!! How lucky am I?? I am so overwhelmed by my benefactor’s generosity that I am using it as my new blog header, for the time being. All my favourite colours. And here are some more pics:-
And I agree with Mr Peenee when he says: I think sea glass is the world’s most beautiful trash.
Many thanks, Mr Devine, for the beautiful trash!
Meanwhile, I must apologise for my absence from the blogosphere. I am finding it impossible to comment using my Apple laptop on Blogspot blogs. I do, however, have access to another laptop so I will be catching up with everyone very soon. Thank you for your patience. Here is an upbeat tune…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Happy New Year!! I love sea glass, too, and agree that it will make a very lovely blog header! Cheers, darling lady! xoxo

Happy New Year, Savvy!! I have randomised my header pics… So you will see either ducks or sea glass. I like the glass, but I can’t quite say goodbye to the ducks!!

The lovely Aimi MacDonald? I haven’t seen her since she was being sawn in half on the David Nixon Magic Show! Jx
PS sea glass is beautiful, indeed.

Jon – Thankfully we still have Basil Brush and Anita Harris. Wasn’t the original Amy MacDonald a buxom blonde?

Oh, the glass looks much better as a feature on your blog than just languishing on my shelves with other seaside flotsam and jetsam. And a glass island is a perfect setting for many a tale, I’m sure – perhaps even one that features a poison prince…?

Mr Devine – Thank you so much for the glass!!! I love it!!! And it really cheered me up as I was having a rotten day.
I heard the Poison Prince tune the other day and realised I loved it – I know – it has no relevance to this post!!

Your island is very pretty, Scarlet, and bears a passing resemblance to Sumatra.

Mr Batarde – You spotted the Sumatra connection – interesting.

Happy New Year, blogpal. Hope the twenties go well for you.
Sea glass is indeed one of the most gorgeous things in the world. Me and a pal sometimes spend many a happy an hour bent double looking for it on the beaches of County Durham. It’s beautiful and captivating. I love thinking of the action of the waves and the sand to get it so smooth and physically pleasurable to touch. Ooooh, yes, Ms Scarlet! x

Well they say, one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. Of course, “they” say all types of stuff. Merry New Year (I think we should change things up a little).

You’ve got your own island? Why don’t I have one, it’s not fair. *throws mega-tantrum and smashes a lot of crockery*

Nick – Yay! We can make a mosaic island from the smashed crockery!! And all is calm.

I’ll just use Chrome to comment on blogs until Apple gets its act together and allows us back again. Lovely sea glass.

Thank you, Z! It is very pretty. Yes, I might download Chrome as having two laptops is a complicated way of doing things!

For the blogs I actually use Chromium. This is not gargle’s “Chrome”, but the same open source software without all of gargle’s (surveillance) calling home features. And it has an incognito mode. It is fast, clean, and generally likeable. For other stuff I use FF, but it is possible that I may switch to chromium for all. It seems to be faster than the fox.

Mr 63 – Yeah, Gargle Chrome is freaking me out a bit. It seems to know me too well and keeps giving me spoilers for Eastenders, Corrie, and The Walking Dead.

who ever would have thought sea glass and calligraphy would be a combo?

Kylie – Oh yes, it’s a hot combo! But most calligraphers tend to write on the sea glass – I might demonstrate this at a later date!

Hello, Ms Norma! Thank you! It was a present from the lovely Mr Devine – back in the heady days of early 2020 when we had no inkling of the shit show that was about to hit us. Anyhow, I hope you are keeping safe and well.
