You see what I did there? Okay, so I am no longer the hostess with the mostess trolley on a Sunday, but instead I will be here on a Friday bringing you….GLORIOUS….stuff! All sorts of stuff, the stuff that you’d rather shove in a kitchen drawer and ignore, but you never know, one day it might come in handy.
There will be this sort of stuff:-

There will be calligraphy….

There will be vague witterings taken from my autobiography, of which I seldom speak, and of course there will be music!!!
I heard this the other day, I was watching Just Go With It because I needed something to send me to sleep. It worked a treat, but when I woke up towards the end of the film, this was playing:
And I thought, yay, that’ll be great for Sunday Music, forgetting that I no longer do the Sunday Music thing…
So, anyhow, whatever, expect STUFF from me on a Friday. There may even be a vague reference to a map next week.
This post was brought to you in a rush by Scarlet Blue.
Oooh, you could call it Scarlet’s Bazaar! This promises to be a weekly feast for the senses … golly, I’m excited. 🙂

Mr Batarde, I know, I am bizarre!! And yes it’s going to be thrilling!! People will be setting their alarms in anticipation.
Did you listen to the tune??? Go on, go on, go on! It’s not what you might think it is.

Whoopsie … unfortunate homophone, wholly unintentional of course.
As for the music, you know me too well! I have listened to it now and and it was precisely as expected, alas. Incidentally, I ventured a little Sunday Music of my own on Tuesday’s blog. 😉

Oh my goodness, I missed your music, I will have to go and have a listen. How did you fit it into a crossword?
How can you not be bowled over by The Police and Snow Patrol?! And why did nobody tell me about this mash up before??

You’re 5 hours ahead of me. Do I have to set my alarm for the middle of the night?

A map! Even a vague reference thereto…perhaps it will be a map to guide the intrepid searchers through the darkness of Scarlet’s drawers…
O! come soon, Friday!

You’re no longer the hostess with the mostest trolley? But hostess trolleys are coming back, you’ll be missing out! I hear on the grapevine that your forthcoming autobiography will tell the full story of the great hostess trolley disaster of 2003 and how you managed to save the black forest gateaux from total destruction. I can’t wait to read it!
Ah, the Police. Those were the days….

You had me at black forest gateaux – I can’t wait for this autobiography either!

I think you will find the details regarding the artic roll and the custard tarts even more satisfying Mr Devine.
Meanwhile, I invented a new character whilst writing this comment; his name is Artic Rolland.

Nick – Who has been leaking details from my autobiography???? I am appalled. At least the top secret waffle about Captain Birdseye is still in the freezer.

Ooh! E is for Elm! And F is for Jon!!! Surely he’ll be after that fuchsia? Are they all going in your Shop?
Just how old is that calligraphy? I can’t remember stamps being 4p. Ever!
P.S. I like the music mash-up.

Fuch, fuch, fuch-sia! Happy Gay Xmas Eve!
Love the collages, and the calligraphy, I even loved Sting back in the early 1980s…

They are meant to go in the shop, Mr Devine, but it all takes time… and I have spent my time in my garden this week trying to tame the jungle. The brambles that invade from the field next door are too high for me to cut. I have been overstretched.
You can still buy 5p stamps, but they won’t get you very far – possibly up the garden path, but not back again.

P.S Mr Devine – thank you for liking the mash-up! I love it, but then again I have very cheesy taste in music.

I’m stumped! What is the letter “b” for? Mr Batarde, perhaps? I’m OK with cock, elm, iris and fuchsia, but buggered at “b”

Dinah – B for Bluebells!!! Please don’t be buggered – my vintage books don’t seem seem to illustrate that.

Bluebells???? I only know the botanical and that starts with an aitch! Or a haitch, for you northerners. I am sorry to have buggered you.
Um..where were we? I’ve got lost. Anyone got a map? A to Z? Melways? Roadfinder? Hulllooooo Anyone there? nuqDqq?

Yay!!! Well done, Dinah!!!!
I will think of something next week. I’m sure something will spring to mind. Inspiration will strike. There may be a map. Or there may be, in desperation, a ball of string and a red satin ribbon.

Ooh, now you’re sounding like Ariadne and the ball of string that got Theseus away from the Minataur.

I am Keen for there to be string. I am visualizing some sort of vintage string and nail 70s affair. This is what happens after spending an hour on Pinterest.

I have not seen that movie. Those two did a more recent one called, Murder Mystery which I’ve watched. A good movie with some laughs.
You dropped a word in your post that I wasn’t sure I knew the correct meaning. Our common companion Google provided the answer plus told me there is a village named West Wittering on the Manhood Peninsula in the Chichester district. Are the villagers twittering in West Wittering? Also Manhood Peninsula has me wondering about geography.
Great post.

Thank you, Bill – Too kind, as this was a bit of a thrown together post 🙂.
I am a witterer, but not a twitterer. I dread to think what goes on in the Manhood Peninsula!
