More Sharing…. [Also known as: The time when Scarlet overshared]

Yes, I am in ultra-share mode!! I apologise for the following pictures, I will remove them soon as, and I rarely take selfies, BUT, I seem to be a rare creature who actually looks better in colour than in black and white!!! The black and white filter does not suit me [sob].
I also apologise for the moth-eaten cardy, I call it my dog-cardy and I promise that I NEVER wear it outside the house. And the background…. well, when I took the pic I didn’t intend to publish it on the blog. And my hair was damp. And my eyebrows are mostly drawn in, though they have grown back a bit.
Anyhow, to destroy all mystique, this is me. Hello.

Normal service will be resumed soonish, i.e. one post every five months, and I shall throw a heavy blanket over this ghastly episode, which in future posts will be referred to as: The time when Scarlet overshared.

“You see, this is my life! It always will be! Nothing else! Just us, and the cameras, and those wonderful people out there in the dark!… All right, Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up…”

    Hello, gorgeous!

That, believe it or not, is how I pictured you. I’m not sure why I was able to draw such an accurate portrayal. I think it has a lot to do with your writing style. It conjures certain images and impressions. That’s a smart haircut you’ve got there, pal.

That’s a great photo (the one on the left). No need for any apologies. The cardigan looks fine to me, but then I can only see a small portion of it. You look totally different from the way I imagined you (isn’t that usually the case?) But then, I only had the photo of your jeans-clad bum to go on….

Love your green cardie, and your haircut. Green makes me look sickly so I never wear it, but all the woollens in the shops seem to be green at the moment, the charity shops in Blackheath were bursting with beautiful green cashmere.

Eryl – I’ve been into green for several years now…. maybe I like blending in with the hedges?!! Pastel colours don’t seem to suit me, and I look hideous in pink!
I love my green cardie, too. It’ll see me through another Winter!

Yes, I hope so! This will be it’s third…. as it’s the ‘dog cardie’ this does mean it has everything thrown at it… it has a patch of gilding glue on one sleeve; plenty of dog hairs; and it is a little shrunken – BUT, it is proper wool and it’s so easy to live in!!

Thank you, Ms Lulu!!!! I have a teal Reggie Perrin cardie!! I love sloppy comfy clothes. And because of one of your older posts I’m definitely going to try to get into darning. I want the clothes I love to go on for as long as possible.

So lovely to see you for real, Scarlet! You look fabulous! Not sure what you’re apologizing for. It’s really nice to put a face to someone I’ve ‘known’ for years.

I agree the colour version is better. Lovely picture.
Since you used a picture of a flapper (Clara Bow?) with dark hair I thought you might still have dark hair. Hair color changes with or without our help. I come to expect changing hair color which has me wondering why ID cards bother to list hair color.

I used to be a Marilyn Monroe/Scarlett Johansson mash-up, Bill. Overtime I decided I wanted a more low-key avatar, so I chose Clara. At the time she looked how I felt! I have had chemically induced dark hair at some point in my life, and I rather liked it. It was plum coloured.

Owing to the fact that in not much good at a lot of things including spotting new blog posts I missed this but what a treat, dare I say that, to see the face behind the wonderful calligraphy. If you follow me on FB, you’ll know what I look like: my love if catering is evident in my figure 🙂
