Once in a Blue Moon

I have decided that in the interests of my ever diminishing blogging tribe that I will blog on a daily basis. Yes, get up off the floor, you read that right. Yes, Ms Scarlet, the blogger who turns up once every three months, waves her knickers in the air, types three lines of nothingness then buggers off into the sunset, is committing to being a daily blogger.

Why? Because I think it was/is the regular bloggers who kept us all going…. bloggers such as The Mistress. I am not saying that I will write anything interesting…. there might be a picture of a cow one day, some udders the next…. maybe a steaming cow pat now and then…. but it will be a blog where there is always something – however silly and irrelevant. Anyhow this is my plan.

I will leave you to ponder this earth shattering, faintly terrifying news and leave you with a tune…. a tune that always makes me think of Mr Coppens.

This is good news. You’ll make up for the fact that I’ve only blogged twice this month.
I’ve seen a lot of cow udders and cow pats in my time but I can always do with one more.

Gracious heavens. Just as was I considering jumping in the four wheeler and trundling down to Mogwash to see if you were all right, up you pop. Splendid idea, daily blogging: I eagerly await developments. Perhaps you could do a cow on a chair … merely a suggestion off the top of the head you understand, wouldn’t presume etc.

My policy, Mr Ducks, is not to worry about what I slap up here…. I have a picture of a field planned for mid-week…. some nib talk on Monday…. some calligraphy for Tuesday…and there is a tin hat competition to enter. I will be fine 🙂 !!!!!!!!! [panicking in exclamation marks!]

Daily blogging?! You must have had your Shredded Wheat this morning – and you must continue to have them EVERY morning! Good luck!!

I very much enjoyed that music video (I sound like I’m a hundred million years old – certainly not one of the yoof any more). Was that a young Mr Coppens on the bike?

What do the young people call music videos, Mr Devine? They all live in streams these days… or they are live in streams…. one or the other.

Oh, no! The yoof are turning amphibious! Perhaps this is evolution at work – preparing them for living underwater when the sea levels rise…?

I forgot to say: I’ve been listening to this Empire of the Sun constantly since my first comment! They are truly wonderful. I have listened to some of their other songs (tracks? stuff? What would the yoof say?) and I’m now poised to purchase their three albums (on CD, of course – I don’t really understand all this water-based nonsense). Thank you, Ms Scarlet. And thank you, Mr Coppens – Wherever you are!

I first heard this track on Mr Coppens’s blog because he had been listening to his son or daughter’s music…. but this was way back when…. almost 10 years ago? I love it. It always reminds me of happy blogging.
Yes, we are on tracks and the yoof are in streams. It all makes perfect sense now.

    Wait! What the…
Blimey! And here I was wondering whether Idle Thoughts should be shut down.Or whether one of my other ventures might be a better proposition.I am glad you;re going to stick with it.Of course, if you will go leaving your Uhu on a chair, well –
Oh dear…I have not yet drunk my early coffee….things here are a bit of a bugger’s muddle, but I’ll see what I can do.

Well! Daily, you say?? I only seem to post things about my cats and renovations. Truly boring stuff, I am sure, but that is what my life consists of these days, aside from work and sitting with my feet up doing nothing but surfing around the interwebs. Whatever you post, I shall read.

I must confess I have no recollection of ever hearing that song before, or the artist… Either I have not heard it, or my memory is dodgy (which is probably the case). It is a catchy tune, either way!!

My life is deathly dull…. calligraphy, fields, moody sky and visiting nursing homes…. now I remember why I used to love fiction so! If only I could find a way back to that imaginative place, but at present…. I am being forced to be present.

You are a braver blogger than I. Committing to blog daily can be stressful. I sure hope it remains fun for you. I do enjoy blogging but I know I would come to dislike writing a post daily. Good luck.
